It is a beautiful piece of equipment! It has been used on Pine, (Live) Oak, and palm fronds. I've cut 8" trunks 23' up. I had to see the limits (both in cutting depth and total reach). This is truly an impressive saw. Let the weight of the pole do the work. It's the pull stroke that does the cutting.

This is an outstanding quality saw with amazing reach! The twin locking mechanisms work perfect and even when pulling down branches at full extension. After two solid days of use, the blade is still locked down tight and sharp as ever. I can not believe I suffered with other manufacturers' pole saws for years. If you are serious about trimming, invest in a commercial grade product you will have forever... Get yourself a Silky!

The Hayauchi 390 is a very well made aluminum pole saw with locking pins and also collars so it cannot come apart while sawing. The blade is extremely sharp. I bought it to trim palm trees that I cannot reach with a Stihl power pruner. I am very happy with it. Stay away from power lines. It will fold up and lock in the bed of a short bed Chevy pick-up.
